Building Crew

This is our most sought after Volunteer opportunity. Volunteers get the chance to make a difference in the lives of families side by side with the building or renovating a home. There is no experience necessary. Our skilled construction manager and seasoned volunteers train the crew on the job. Building days are typically Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity Restore takes in donations of gently used furniture, appliances, lighting fixtures, tools and more. These items are then sold to the public at 50%-75% off their retail value. The ReStore is a bustle of activity with a lot of fun mixed in.

Family Selection Committee

Join this committee which is integral to the mission of Habitat for Humanity. They both recruit and review families in need who wish to become homeowners. The Family Selection Committee holds several meetings throughout the year to introduce our housing program to interested families and the public at large.

Family Support Committee

All along the way, from the initial selection process to the time when the family is in their new home, our Family Support Committee is there to offer support. Committee members meet with families regularly to answer questions, troubleshoot problems and serve as a kind, helping hand along the path to homeownership.
