- Jim worked with Ernst & Young LLP’s Cleveland and National Offices for 33 years; 19 years as an assurance partner, serving a multitude of clients, primarily in the manufacturing and commercial products industries. Such clients ranged in size from moderately large local entrepreneurial enterprises to multi-billion dollar international manufacturing concerns. Jim led various engagement teams with their implementation of the Ernst & Young Global Audit Methodology and compliance with the integrated audit reporting requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. From 2001 through 2005, Jim travelled to 13 foreign countries to teach the EY audit methodology to various EY personnel and former Andersen personnel who joined EY, and integrated the EY audit with compliance testing for Securities and Exchange Commission reporting. Jim was active in the Firm’s recruiting efforts for 20+ years, seeking qualified talent to continue EY’s legacy.
- Jim earned a BBA from the University of Notre Dame in 1982, and became a CPA in 1984. Jim remains a retired Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
- Jim continues to serve several non-profit organizations in accounting or oversight functions, and serves on religious, educational and philanthropic Boards and finance committees in the Northeast Ohio community.
- Jim and his wife, Barbie, reside in South Russell and have two grown daughters and 1 grandchild in the Northeast Ohio area.
